Marks of our Christian Community

The Church is described in the Book of Common Prayers as the community of the New Covenant. It is further described as the Body of which Jesus Christ is the Head and of which all baptized persons are members. Through baptism, we become part of Jesus. From Jesus we learn what is needed of us.

We try to take seriously our baptismal covenants. We worship as a family, reflecting on the teachings of prophets, apostles and saints before us. We break bread and pray together. We attempt to resist evil, and to repent ourselves when we have done wrong.

We make our best efforts to proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ. We commit ourselves to looking for Christ in all persons, loving and serving as we are able. We work for peace and justice among all human beings.
